Having devoted his career to serving the Tribe, Doug has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the well-being of Tribal Members. Prior to his retirement in 2022, he dedicated an impressive 24 years to the Tribe. Throughout his extensive tenure, Chief Barrett consistently prioritized the welfare of Tribal members, particularly by fostering knowledge, providing guidance, and extending support to youth and their families. His efforts encompassed a broad spectrum of prevention services, treatment programs, and cultural initiatives, all aimed at facilitating transformative journeys within the community.

Kerry founded QuoteSoft Inc. in 1995, pioneering the integration of computerized construction estimating, BIM, and mobile technology throughout his extensive 30-year career. His focus was in the formulation of workflows that harness technology to incorporate design, fabrication, and construction data into real-world environments.

Kerry remains actively engaged in his Tribe, The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw. With a six-year tenure on the Board of Blue Earth, he continues to serve and contribute to the welfare of his community.

Derek possesses an MBA in Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business (Marketing and Management emphases). Prior to his work with the Small Business Development Center in southwestern Oregon, he spent seven years working in higher education at two institutions in Minnesota, as well as 23+ years working full-time in creating and operating his own small business. Derek worked with approximately 850 clients across eleven time zones, generating as much as 25 percent of his company’s revenues from the European Union (EU) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), working across .edu, .gov, .mil and .com industry sectors. He also worked for two years with the Small Business Development Center in southwestern Minnesota, advising dozens of clients across a broad collection of industries.
